Kenneth Branagh is expected to return to direct and star in a new version of Death On The Nile, which will be a sequel to his previous film Murder On The Orient Express for 20th Century Fox based on the Agatha Christie novels. It was reported by trades that the film will see the addition of Wonder Woman’s Gal Gadot and Armie Hammer (Free Fire, Call Me By Your Name).
On a luxurious cruise on the Nile River, a wealthy heiress, Linnet Ridgeway, is murdered. Fortunately, among the passengers are famed Belgian detective Hercule Poirot and his trusted companion, Colonel Race, who immediately begin their investigation. But just as Poirot identifies a motley collection of would-be murderers, several of the suspects also meet their demise, which only deepens the mystery of the killer’s identity.

I had suspected that production would be returning to Longcross Studios in Surrey, England. It’s the same production space where they had shot Murder on The Orient Express and we’ve now been able to confirm that it will be the main stage location for the murder mystery.
20th Century Fox recently delayed the original release date which had it competing directly with Disney’s Star Wars: Episode IX next December and has now been moved to October 22nd, 2020.
