In February, it was reported by Variety that director Harry Bradbeer (Killing Eve, Fleabag) had closed a deal with Legendary Entertainment to helm their Sherlock Holmes spin-off Enola Holmes, based on the Nancy Springer novels.
Legendary has closed a deal for Harry Bradbeer to direct “Enola Holmes” starring Millie Bobby Brown, sources tell Variety. Insiders also say Jack Thorne will adapt the script, which is based on the Nancy Springer book series “The Enola Holmes Mysteries.”
The book series began with the 2006 title “The Case of the Missing Marquess” and covered six novels, revolving around mysteries investigated by Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes’ much younger sister, Enola.
Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown will continue her relationship with Legendary Entertainment after previously starring in Godzilla: King of The Monsters and Godzilla vs Kong as she’ll be playing the titular role Enola Holmes, the younger sister of Sherlock and Mycroft.
We now have a crew update to share.
HN Entertainment has been able to confirm that production designer Michael Carlin has been added to the film’s team. Carlin’s various credits include The Last King of Scotland, In Bruges, The Dutches, The Eagle, and Red Tails.
We will certainly update when we get shooting and location information.
Other upcoming film projects from Legendary Entertainment besides Godzilla: King of The Monsters and Godzilla vs Kong include Ryan Reynolds’ Detective Pikachu (along with a sequel in the works), Denis Villeneuve’s Dune reboot that recently began filming in Budapest, Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World 3, along with an action flick titled Red Notice starring Gal Gadot and Dwayne Johnson.
