Skydance Media and Netflix are partnering on the action film Red Notice starring Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman, Wonder 1984), Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool, Deadpool 2), and Dwayne Johnson (Jungle Cruise, Hobbs and Shaw).
HN Entertainment can confirm that the film has added production designer Andy Nicholson, who worked on Captain Marvel, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and Gravity.
The film is an international action thriller centered around the pursuit of the most wanted art thief in the world. It takes place in multiple countries.
Filming is expected to begin in early 2020 in England and the budget is reportedly said to be between $125-150 million.
The three leads are busy bees with Gal Gadot releasing Wonder Woman 1984 (June 4th, 2020) and Death On The Nile (October 9th, 2020) next year.
Dwayne Johnson is also dropping Sony’s Jumanji: The Next Level on December 13th and Disney’s Jungle Cruise on July 24th, 2020.
Ryan Reynolds recently worked with Netflix and action guru director Michael Bay on 6 Underground, which is set for release on December 13th.
Netflix looking to compete budget-wise with major Hollywood studios as 6 Underground is also said to cost $150 million or more.
Red Notice started out as at Universal Pictures but later pivoted to the streaming giant.
Netflix has yet to give Red Notice an official release/drop date.
