It’s expected that 20th Century Fox will be moving forward with Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman prequel Kingsman: The Great Game as production is expected to begin soon in the various locales in the United Kingdom as we have a key crew update to share.
HN Entertainment can exclusively reveal that cinematographer Ben Davis will be reuniting with director Matthew Vaughn for Kingsman: The Great Game. Ben Davis’ credits include Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Guardians of The Galaxy, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Dumbo, and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri.
Davis has previously worked with Matthew Vaughn on the films Layer Cake, Stardust, and Kick-Ass.
This would mean that Geroge Richmond, who shot Kingsman: The Secret Service and Kingsman: The Golden Circle won’t be back for this specific installment, likely due to the production of Dexter Fletcher’s Elton John film Rocketman. It’s possible he could make a return for Kingsman 3.
The cast of Kingsman: The Great Game is reportedly set to include Ralph Fiennes and Harris Dickinson as the main leads. According to Collider, actors such as Daniel Bruhl, Charles Dance, and Rhys Ifans are also joining the film as well.
The Great Game is expected to explore the origins of the Kingsman during the era of The Great War aka WWI.
Kingsman 3 is still expected to happen but The Great Game goes into production first.
20th Century Fox has seemingly set the film’s release date for November 8th, but it’ll be interesting to see if Kingsman: The Great Game will be completed by then.
