HN Entertainment has learned that the upcoming erotic thriller Deep Water starring Ben Affleck (Gone Girl) and Ana de Armas (Knives Out, Blade Runner 2049) will begin shooting on November 4th in New Orleans, Louisiana and expected to wrap February 7th, 2020.
Ben and Ana had been previously in talks according to a report from Deadline, which would suggest they’ve now closed their deals to star in the film.
Screenwriters Sam Levinson and Zack Helm adapted the novel written by Patricia Highsmith (Strangers On A Train, Talented Mr. Ripley).
An attractive young married couple whose mind games with each other take a twisted turn when people around them start turning up dead. The couple staves off divorce in a loveless marriage by allowing each to take lovers, but it becomes messy as Highsmith exposed the surface facade of American suburban life.
Deep Water will be helmed by veteran director Adrian Lyne (Jacob’s Ladder), who is known for tackling the erotic thriller genre with previous films such as Unfaithful, Fatal Attraction, Lolita (1997), and Indecent Proposal.
