While on the red carpet for the premiere of Avengers: Endgame, Variety spoke with Scarlet Witch actress Elizabeth Olsen about her upcoming Disney+ series WandaVision that will be made by Marvel Studios and directly linked to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
During the brief chat with Variety Olsen reveals that filming on the series will begin this fall and they’ll be shooting about six hours worth of material, how that will be divided up into episodes remains to be seen.
VARIETY: When do you start shooting?
OLSEN: “Fall. Paul and I are really excited, they have a great group of writers.”
VARIETY: How many episodes will it be, do you know yet?
OLSEN: “I think it’s going to be a total of six hours, I don’t know what that means, I’m so sorry.”

There have also been some hints that the series could be more of a domestic take on the two’s pairing and Olsen seemingly backs that up when talking about the teaser image shown at the Disney+ presentation with the two seemingly in the 1950s. Along with the seemingly kitschy theme song she was humming that had a bit of a Dick Van Dyke Show or Leave To Beaver feel.
If filming doesn’t begin until this fall we would assume that it won’t begin airing until sometime in 2020.
