Don’t worry this isn’t an April’s Fools joke.
Joe and Anthony Russo are currently promoting Avengers: Endgame in India and during a press event for the Marvel Studios film Joe Russo seemingly alluded that “they” (either the two directors or Marvel there isn’t great clarification) are potentially talking with actress Priyanka Chopra about “something”.
Avengers: Endgame director Joe Russo has confirmed that Marvel is ‘talking to Priyanka Chopra’ about a future project. Joe Russo, who has directed four Marvel Cinematic Universe movies with his brother Anthony, made the revelation at a press event for the upcoming Avengers: Endgame in Mumbai.
Asked about whether he’d like to work with an Indian actor in the future, a visibly conscious Russo said, “I’d love to work with Priyanka,” he said, “I’m smiling only because we’re potentially talking to her about something, I’m just not going to say what yet.”
Their next project is the veteran-turned-robber tale Cherry starring Tom Holland, there is a chance they were possibly speaking about that as filming is said to begin this summer or are indeed talking about a Marvel project.

There are plenty of upcoming Marvel projects that Chopra could fit if that is indeed what they are talking about as Chloe Zhao’s The Eternals and Cate Shortland’s Black Widow are currently casting roles that could be a good fit for the actress. The Shang-Chi movie could also be a good bet to make as they’ll be seeking a mostly Asian cast, Chopra being a South Asian actress it would make sense she could be eyed for a role there as well.
