HN Entertainment has learned that the upcoming Millarworld series Jupiter’s Legacy is expected to add stunt coordinator Philip J Silvera. Silvera’s credits include Deadpool, Terminator: Dark Fate, and the first two seasons of Netflix’s Daredevil.

The series using the working title Zeus will be directed by Steven DeKnight (Daredevil, Pacific Rim: Uprising) and will be shooting in Toronto, Ontario, Canada over the summer.

It will wrap in early November.

It follows the world’s first generation of superheroes who received their powers in the 1930s. Now, in present day, they are the revered elder guard, but their superpowered children struggle to live up to the legendary feats of their parents.

The cast includes Josh Duhamel, Ben Daniels, Leslie Bibb, Elena Kampouris, Andrew Horton, Mike Wade, and Matt Lanter.

Jupiter’s Legacy is the first of many of Mark Millar/Millarworld projects being adapted by Netflix. Others include James Wan’s The Magic Order, American Jesus, Empress, Sharky The Bounty Hunter, and Huck. The upcoming female-led Millarworld/Netflix comic Space Bandits will likely eventually get an adaption down the line too.

I’m slightly more stoked by the Empress adaptation, but I can wait and check this one out in the meantime.

There is an expectation that Jupiter’s Legacy will drop sometime in 2020 on Netflix.
