DC Universe News Announcement Coming Thursday

The DC Universe streaming service is set to launch in August according to rumors, but a big announcement is coming even sooner. According to a video shared on Twitter, the service will unveil a major announcement on June 28. While we can expect more details regarding the secretive new platform, it’s unknown what exactly the video is teasing.

DC’s Director of Publicity Brandy Phillips first tweeted out the video, declaring that “The wait is almost over,” and further teasing a major announcement scheduled for on Thursday.

Though very brief, the video teases blurred out images and logos that fans may recognize. This could hint at what the announcement will pertain to, or what kind of content fans can anticipate come August. Some have speculated it will be some sort of teaser trailer for DC Universe, and possibly a first look at their flagship production, the live-action series Titans.

So far, there has been no official information or images released about most of the DC Universe series’ other than casting and plot synopsis. Despite this, the service has announced several series coming to the new platform. Alongside Titans, the service will also host the long awaited debut of Young Justice: Outsiders, an animated Harley Quinn series, as well as live-action Doom Patrol and Swamp Thing series.
