Zack Snyder’s next film has found its star, and it is an actor who also has roots in comic book movies.
According to Deadline, Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista has closed a deal to star in Zack Snyder’s zombie thriller Army of the Dead.
The story is set amid “a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, during which a man assembles a group of mercenaries to take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantined zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted.“
The film is being produced by Netflix and has a budget of $70 million. Production is expected to begin this Summer.
The script comes from Shay Hatten and Snyder, with Snyder also producing with his wife, Deborah while Ori Marmur and Andrew Norman oversee the project for Netflix.
