After some hiccups, we now have an idea when Fantastic Beasts 3 begins production as franchise star Dan Folger, who plays Jacob Kowalski stated at LeakyCon 2019 in Boston that cameras are expected to begin rolling in February on the third installment.

TheLeakyCauldronNews posted an Instagram video of the exchange at Leaky Con.

There had been some delays in production as filming was originally intended to start this summer. Warner Bros. pulling back to get the script right and possibly make some creative changes along the way with some rewrites.

Filming is confirmed to primarily take place at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in Watford, England.

The facility has been the homestead production space for the Potterverse since the first Harry Potter movie.

This also could suggest that the Flash movie won’t be starting up anytime soon as Ezra Miller is expected to play a large role in Fantastic Beasts 3, which had led to some scheduling issues with the DC Comics movie. That film also earned its own share of delays, but recently landed IT director Andy Muschietti.

Creator/screenwriter J.K. Rowling and director David Yates are expected to also return for Fantastic Beasts 4 and Fantastic Beasts 5.

Fantastic Beasts 3 hasn’t landed an official title yet and is expected to be released on November 12th, 2021.
