Filming is currently underway on Bill and Ted Face The Music starring Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves in New Orleans, Louisiana. Deadline reports a new addition to the film’s cast with comedic actress Jillian Bell (Workaholics, 22 Jump Street).
Bell will reportedly play a couples therapist Dr. Taylor Wood in the film.
The rest of the cast includes William Sadler, Samara Weaving, Brigette Lundy-Paine, Kid Cudi, Anthony Carrigan, Beck Bennett, Erinn Hayes, Jayma Mays, Amy Stoch, and Hal Landon Jr.
A cast of mostly comedic voices is a sign they’re truly going for an action comedy here.
A time traveler from the future seeks Bill and Ted’s help to craft a new rock tune that will save the universe. The pair with their rockstar personas long-gone, they’ll need help from their daughters, historical figures, and friends to inspire them to craft the perfect song.
Barry’s Anthony Carrigan is said to be playing the film’s main villain.
I’m curious to see how big the film will be and how much science fiction elements they’ll use in comparison to Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey, which had aliens and robots.
The sequel is expected to wrap next month.
Bill and Ted Face The Music is set for release on August 21st, 2020.
