It was just revealed by TheHollywoodReporter that Warner Bros. is developing a feature film that would focus on comedic superhero Plastic Man, who is from the pages of DC Comics. A hero that could share a similar tone to their Shazam! film taking the side of a lighter tone than most of the superhero films out there.
Well, there already seems to be an actor throwing their hat in the ring to play Plastic Man.
Ben Schwartz tweeting a teeny-weeny tease that might be interested in the part.
I’ll start stretching now just in case. https://t.co/F6GvPhmTxT

Comedian Ben Schwartz might be best known for his role on the NBC series Parks and Recreation. His other credits include the DuckTales reboot, playing BB-8 in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and also voicing Sonic The Hedgehog in the upcoming film for Sony Pictures.
I think the perfect prospect is having Plastic Man and Shazam! eventually interacting in a movie together, as the heroes feel like a good pairing. Oddly enough, if Schwartz was cast he’d be a similar hire to Zachary Levi, who plays Shazam.
A new trailer for Shazam! is on the horizon with its release coming in April.
On the Plastic Man front, without a director, it might be a while until we learn when WB could want to begin shooting it.
