TheHollywoodReporter has word that after working with Australian editor Lee Smith since Batman Begins, director Christopher Nolan will have to seek a new editor as Smith will be busy working with Sam Mendes’ WWI film 1917 for Universal Pictures. They report that he’s picked Jennifer Lame to work on his upcoming project that will shoot over the summer, Lame is best known for her recent work on the horror film Hereditary.
For the first time in a decade and a half, Christopher Nolan will have a new picture editor. Jennifer Lame, who last worked on horror indie hit Hereditary, has been tapped to serve as editor on Nolan’s latest project.
Little is known about the new Nolan project but sources have described it as a globe-trotting adventure that has shades of the mind-bending nature of Inception but does involve the time continuum.
GeekVibesNation has a new tweet that suggests that Nolan’s untitled feature film for Warner Bros. will begin filming sometime this June and could finish in September.

The cast reportedly includes John David Washington (Ballers, BlackKklansman), Elizabeth Debicki (Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Widows), and Robert Pattinson.
It’ll be interesting to see if the film will be another science fiction thriller given the comparisons to Inception that have been mentioned over and over by various people reporting on the project.
Warner Bros. has already set the film’s release date for July 17th, 2020.
