The final time we saw Chris Hemsworth’s Thor he was inserting himself into the Guardians team after giving over the crown of New Asgard to Valkyrie.

Well, during the red carpet premiere of Chris Pratt’s upcoming Pixar movie Onward, Pratt was asked by IGN if Thor will or will not be on the team in Guardians of The Galaxy 3.

He was quick to point out playfully with the folks at IG that nobody knows for sure.

PRATT: “How do you know that Thor’s not in Guardians 3? We haven’t shot it yet, he might be in Guardians 3. We don’t know! There’s no definitive yes or no on that.”

IGN in their write-up points out that James Gunn himself dodged the question if Thor would be part of Guardians lineup in the third film over the summer.

Last July, a fan asked director James Gunn if Thor would “be a part of it,” referring to Guardians 3. However, Gunn dodged the question by saying, “No. Thor will not be in The Suicide Squad,” which Gunn will finish before filming for Guardians 3 begins.

Gunn is notorious for his honesty and bluntness on social media when answering fan questions.

Guardians of The Galaxy 3 is one of the few projects we’re still in the dark about other than James Gunn returning to write and direct the film after his firing had him pivot to make The Suicide Squad, which is in the final stretch of production.

Marvel Studios and Disney have yet to give the sequel an official release date.

Pratt is about to begin shooting Jurassic World 3 aka Arcadia soon and that one will be out in theaters on June 11th, 2021.

Chris Hemsworth will be busy shooting Thor: Love & Thunder starting in August at Fox Studios Australia in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
