Chris Hemsworth Joins Kevin Smith’s ‘Jay and Silent Bob Reboot’

Avengers: Endgame is quickly on its way, but it looks like Chris Hemsworth has already found his next project after the highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe film.

Hemsworth has confirmed that he is joining the cast of Kevin Smith’s Jay and Silent Bob reboot. Hemsworth made the announcement on his official Instagram account by posting photos of himself with the Clerks director.

“The man, the myth, the legend. The one and only @thatkevinsmith !!! Stoked to be a part of his next film Jay and Silent Bob Reboot. What a pleasure it was hanging out mate,” Hemsworth wrote.

Smith is equally pleased with the collaboration. However, he also had some advice for the Odinson. “My god (of Thunder) you were phenomenal! Many thanks, sir. But next time you face Thanos, aim for the head,” Smith wrote.

Hemsworth’s role in the film is being kept under wraps and it is unclear if it is a substantial role or just a cameo. Both Jason Mewes and Smith are returning to play the title characters while Shannon Elizabeth, Brian O’Halloran, Jason Lee, Joey Lauren Adams, and Jennifer Schwalbach are set to reprise their View Askewniverse roles from prior Smith properties. Previously announced cameos include Grant Gustin, Tom Cavanagh, Method Man, Redman, Chris Jericho, Fred Armisen, and Rosario Dawson to name a few.

Jay and Silent Bob Reboot is targeting a Fall 2019 release.
