It looks like Ryan Reynolds is getting some company on his action film Free Guy as new set photos have revealed a big name has joined the cast.

Free Guy centers on a background character (Ryan Reynolds) who realizes he’s living in a video game. With the help of an avatar (Jodie Comer), he tries to prevent the makers of the game from shutting down his world.

JustJared and DailyMail spotted Channing Tatum (The Hateful Eight, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, 21 Jump Street) on the Free Guy set in Boston as he is filming a scene there.

The size of his role is currently unknown.

HN Entertainment previously revealed the film’s production crew includes cinematographer George Richmond(Tomb Raider, Kingsman: The Secret Service, Kingsman: The Golden Circle) stunt coordinator Chris O’Hara (Hobbs and Shaw, Red Sparrow, Venom, Jurassic World), production designer Ethan Tobman (Kin), and special effects supervisor Daniel Sudick (Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame)

Jodie Comer (Killing Eve), Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok, Jojo Rabbit), Joe Keery (Stranger Things), and Utkarsh Ambudkar also have roles.

There has been an assumption that Channing Tatum could reprise his role of Tequila in Matthew Vaughn’s untitled Kingsman 3, which is expected to be Vaughn’s next project.

Free Guy is set to be released on July 3rd, 2020.
