Cary Fukunaga Will Reportedly Shoot ‘Bond 25’ Scenes In Norway – Will Get Tax Incentives

Bond 25 is coming together as director Cary Fukunaga is finishing the script. He recently confirmed that Lea Seydoux, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, and Naomie Harris would be returning alongside Daniel Craig. It looks like we have some concrete reporting concerning a possible filming location thanks to some Norwegian news outlets and they’ll end up landing tax credits for filming there. About 25% for what they end up spending on the Norwegian shoot.

Norwegian news outlet BergensTidende first reported that Bond 25 has applied for tax credits in Norway, where they plan on shooting in various locations in the country. This reporting was then reaffirmed by NorwayToday with quotes from film commissioner Adrian Mitchell.

“I can confirm that we have been in contact with representatives of the upcoming James Bond movie and that they want to record in Norway” said Adrian Mitchell, film commissioner in Oslo to Dagsavisen newspaper.

According to Mitchell, producers see the film in various locations across the country where it may be appropriate to record scenes for the upcoming film.

“We have been working on this for a long time. There are realistic opportunities for parts of the next James Bond movie to be shot in Norway” he said.

Shooting on the untitled Bond movie begins this March and will mostly take place at Pinewood Studios UK in England. Most Bond productions shoot in multiple countries and there is a good chance we’ll hear soon about where else they’ll be filming as location news outlets catch-wind of the production coming to their areas.

EON and MGM have yet to confirm the Norway shoot.

Bond 25’s updated release date has been changed to February 14th, 2020.
