‘Captain Marvel’ Wants You To “Try To Keep Up” In New Super Bowl Spot

Marvel recently had a Super Bowl spot for Avengers: Endgame and now have dropped one for Captain Marvel as well, that also includes new footage of Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers kicking some ass in the 1990s.

It’ll be interesting to see how the digital de-aging of Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury will work throughout the film as it has been impressive in the trailer footage, during the runtime of the film is another thing entirely.

According to the producing team at Marvel Studios, the film is expected to cover the Kree-Skrull War along with teeing-up Secret Invasion. I’m dying to see how much of the Kree and Skrull societies we’ll see in the film with the off-world sequences.

Set in the 1990s, Marvel Studios’ “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that follows the journey of Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes. While a galactic war between two alien races reaches Earth, Danvers finds herself and a small cadre of allies at the center of the maelstrom.

Marvel Studios has set the release date for Captain Marvel on March 8th.
