A new rumor from DiscussingFilm suggests that Marvel may have picked cinematographer Ben Davis for Chloe Zhao’s The Eternals. Davis has plenty of experience working on Marvel Studios films with credits including Guardians of The Galaxy, Doctor Strange, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Captain Marvel. Continuing his relations with both Marvel and Disney would make a lot of sense.

HN Entertainment previously revealed his latest film would be Matthew Vaughn’s prequel Kingsman: The Great Game, as Ben worked with Matthew on Layer Cake, Kick-Ass and Stardust.
It’s cast reportedly consists of Angelina Jolie, Kumail Nanjiani, and Dong-seok Ma. Many more names are expected to be announced in the coming months.
Filming on the new Marvel franchise begins this September in London, United Kingdom.
The Eternals are an ancient group of humans that are given god-like abilities the cosmic entities known as the Celestials, they are mostly at odds with the sub-group called The Deviants and eventually leave Earth to travel the stars. One group of them settle on Titan, which is where Thanos is from.
There is a good chance that the film might explore the origin of the mutant gene, which also comes from the Celestials tinkering on another group of humans on Earth.
Marvel Studios has yet to give an official release date for The Eternals but is most likely going to be released on November 6th, 2020.
