Last month, DiscussingFilm first revealed that Ben Davis was likely going to be the cinematographer of Marvel Studios’ new franchise The Eternals directed by Chloe Zhao.

Well, HN Entertainment can now confirm with our own information that Ben Davis is indeed attached to the film and will be the director of photography of The Eternals. Ben’s previous film credits include Layer Cake, Stardust, Captain Marvel, Guardians of The Galaxy, Doctor Strange, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Kick-Ass, Dumbo, and Kingsman: The Great Game.

Matthew Vaughn also recently stated during the press rounds for Rocketman that Kingsman: The Great Game had wrapped filming, which would mean that Davis is now available to move on to The Eternals.

The reported cast is said to include Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden (Rocketman, Game of Thrones, Bodyguard), Numail Nanjani (The Big Sick, Silicon Valley, Men In Black: International), and Dong-seok Ma (Train To Busan).

The Eternals are a group of god-like humanoids that were genetically altered by the cosmic entities called the Celestials that have been previously established in the two Guardians of The Galaxy films. They eventually leave Earth to the cosmos one of the groups made Titan their home, which included Thanos, his father A’lars (The Mentor) and brother Eros (Starfox).

Jolie is said to be playing Eternal/Avenger Sersi while Madden is said to be playing Ikaris.

Filming is expected to begin this September at Pinewood Studios UK in Iver Heath,
Buckinghamshire, England. The same stage location that is currently being used for Cate Shortland’s solo Black Widow movie starring Scarlett Johansson and Daniel Craig’s Bond 25.

Marvel Studios has yet to announce the film or the release date, but The Eternals is assumed to land their previously announced Marvel Studios spot on November 6th, 2020.
