The sequel to the chilling alien-horror film A Quiet Place is about to begin shooting with John Krasinski returning to write and direct. New casting addition Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta, Widows, Joker) revealed during an interview with TheObserver (via IGN) that the upcoming sequel will also be focusing on the stories of other survivors in the post-apocalyptic world.
When asked about the finer details of what we can hope or expect to see in the film, Henry stated the following.
HENRY: “I’m still trying to find that out, but I really think that what we’ll do is we’ll see more of that family continuing to survive and finding out that they’re not the only ones.”
With the upcoming sequel revealing more information about possible survivors and the rest of humanity, there just might be hope after all for us to learn more about the origins of the blood-thirsty extraterrestrials.
HENRY: “I think that we’re also going to get a few answers to the origin of where and how this whole thing happened. I think people want to know that. But I think you’re just going to see another side of it… more of humanity that survived this thing, in the next story.”
The returning cast will include Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe, and Millicent Simmonds. Brian Tyree Henry and Cillian Murphy are also expected to star in the upcoming sequel in new roles.
A Quiet Place 2 is set to arrive on March 30th, 2020.
