This morning EON/MGM have finally launched the first trailer for Bond 25 aka No Time To Die while promoting the film on ABC’s Good Morning America.
Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.
You can check out that brand new trailer just below.
The cast will include Daniel Craig as James Bond, Lea Seydoux as Madeleine Swann, Rami Malek (Bohemian Rapsody) as a new villain name Safin, Jeffrey Wright (Westworld) as Felix Leiter, Ralph Fiennes (The King’s Man) as M, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, Lashana Lynch (Captain Marvel) as Nomi aka the new Agent 007, Ana de Armas (Blade Runner 2049) as Paloma, Ben Whishaw as Q, Billy Magnussen, Rory Kinnear as Bill Tanner, David Dencik, and Dali Benssalah.
Spectre’s Christoph Waltz is also coming back as the notorious villain Blofeld.
Here are a couple of things we noticed in the trailer.
Beast of No Nation and True Detective season one director Cary Joji Fukanaga took over directing duties from Danny Boyle after creative differences during the development of the script.
Filming took place in Jamaica, London/Pinewood Studios UK, Norway, and Italy.
Bond 25 is said to be the end of Daniel Craig’s tenure as James Bond and a new actor will be taking over the part in Bond 26 (script rumored to be in the works from No Time To Die co-writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge).
It remains to be seen when Bond 26 will be put into production and who will ultimately take over the role of James Bond for the next era of the franchise.
No Time To Die is set for release on April 8th, 2020.
