As production has started on Bond 25, it looks like the troubled production is without any luck. Days after a report claimed that the film is shooting without a completed script and director switch-ups, there is another hiccup.
The Sun reports that Daniel Craig has been injured on the Jamacia set leading to the production to be suspended as the actor recovers.
Bosses are hoping production will not be held up for long.
But The Sun understands that filming at Pinewood Studios in London, scheduled for this coming weekend, has been cancelled as a result of Craig’s knock.
While we’re sure nobody wanted to see Daniel hurt, the ankle injury does allow them time to complete a script depending on how long the production will be halted.
“Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica,” it reads. “His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.”
The impressive cast includes Daniel Craig (in his expected final outing as 007), Lea Seydoux, Rami Malek (Mr. Robot, The Pacific, Bohemian Rapsody), Jeffrey Wright (Westworld), Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Lashana Lynch (Captain Marvel), Ana de Armas (Blade Runner 2049), Ben Whishaw, Billy Magnussen, Rory Kinnear, David Dencik, and Dali Benssalah.
Bond 25 had been officially slated for an April 8th, 2020 release date.
