TheHollywoodReporter has announced that Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War actress Letitia Wright will be joining Fox’s murder mystery sequel Death On The Nile, directed by Kenneth Branagh, a sequel to Murder On The Orient Express.
Wright is set to star alongside Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Killing Eve breakout Jodie Comer and Kenneth Branagh, who again directs following 2018’s Murder on the Orient Express, while also reprising his role as the mustachioed Belgian detective Hercule Poirot. The film is due to start filming towards the end of September.
Wright will play Rosalie Otterbourne, a lead suspect in the story, which follows Poirot as he attempts to unravel the murder of a young heiress while on holiday in Egypt.
She’ll be joining Wonder Woman’s Gal Gadot, Free Fire’s Armie Hammer, and Killing Eve’s Jodie Comer. Comer is set to shoot Fox’s Free Guy soon and Armie Hammer is set to lead Ben Wheatley’s Rebecca as well.
HN Entertainment previously confirmed that filming will be taking place at Longcross Studios in Surrey, England, where the last film shot. We also confirmed the film’s production team will include production designer Jim Clay (Children of Men) and art director Dominic Masters (Wonder Woman).
It’s expected that Murder On The Orient Express cinematographer Haris Zambarloukos will be returning as well.
On a luxurious cruise on the Nile River, a wealthy heiress, Linnet Ridgeway, is murdered. Fortunately, among the passengers are famed Belgian detective Hercule Poirot and his trusted companion, Colonel Race, who immediately begin their investigation. But just as Poirot identifies a motley collection of would-be murderers, several of the suspects also meet their demise, which only deepens the mystery of the killer’s identity.
Death On The Nile’s release date has been set for October 22nd, 2020.
