HN Entertainment has learned that production designer Melanie Paizis-Jones is yet another addition to the crew of Bill and Ted Face The Music. The third installment of the comedy franchise Bill and Ted, which stars Alex Winter (The Lost Boys) and Keanu Reeves (John Wick, The Matrix).
Melanie’s previous film credits include Whiplash, The Curse of La Llorona, The Dirt, The Purge, and Insidious: The Last Key.
We also recently revealed that Captain America: The First Avenger cinematographer Shelly Johnson is part of the production team as well.
Bill and Ted Face The Music flashes forward to the duo as parents with their rockstar days long behind them. A time-traveler seeks their help to craft a new rock song that will save future humanity from total annihilation, which leads to them seeking their help of daughters Billie and Thea.
The rest of the cast includes William Sadler, Brigette Lundy-Paine, Samantha Weaving, and Kid Cudi.
We’ve seen some pretty wild science fiction/fantasy elements from the last two movies and I’m curious how bonkers this third film is attempting to go.
Galaxy Quest’s Dean Parisot is directing the new movie.
Filming is currently underway as revealed by star Alex Winter on his official Twitter account.
Just got to location to shoot @BillandTed3. Making movies is a miraculous gig, but it's also stressful & fairly nuts. Good to be here with @ed_solomon, our great director & producer, many folks I've known most of my life. We're family, and that makes this all the more special.

Orion Picture has given Bill and Ted Face The Music a summer release date of August 21st, 2020.
