TheHollywoodReporter has revealed that Barry and Gotham actor Anthony Carrigan will play the big bad of Bill and Ted Face The Music.
Anthony Carrigan, who plays fan-favorite Noho Hank in HBO’s Barry, has joined Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter in Bill & Ted Face the Music, the third installment of the Bill & Ted comedies.
The new story, according to the production, once again centers on the affable best-friends, now middle-aged and still yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny. When a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can safe life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe, the pair set out on a new adventure, helped along by their daughters, old friends, a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends.
Carrigan’s character details are being kept in a phone booth but it is known that he will the duo’s relentless adversary.
Carrigan is a fantastic character actor and is a huge highlight of Barry, so I’m thrilled to see him joining the sequel. The science fiction comedy has explored aliens before, so I’m curious if Carrigan will be playing a human or alien villain.
Filming is currently underway as revealed recently by Alex Winter on Twitter.
The rest of the cast consists of William Sadler, Brigette Lundy-Paine, Samantha Weaving, and Kid Cudi.
Galaxy Quest’s Dean Parisot is directing.
HN Entertainment previously revealed the film’s production team will have cinematographer Shelly Johnson (Jurassic Park III, Captain America: The First Avenger) and production designer Melanie Paizis-Jones (The Curse of La Llorona, The Dirt, Whiplash).
