Marvel Studios has been reaching out to a bunch of different directors recently with The Farewell’s Lulu Wang letting it slip during a directors’ roundtable that she met with Marvel for an unnamed project.

ComicBook spoke with Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, the directors of Bad Boys For Life, who said they had a brief meeting with Marvel Studios and told them they liked their film wanting to something to do together in the future.

EL ARBI: “Well there’s nothing concrete. They just met us. The said they liked the movie and they just told us, ‘Yo, what do you wanna do? Let’s find something to work together on.’ So there’s nothing really planned yet, it was just like a meeting. But yeah, we’ll see if we find something cool.”

The directing duo would be somewhat busy for the next little while as they’re attached to direct Eddie Murphy’s Beverly Hills Cop 4 that recently landed at Netflix.

There is also the massive success of Bad Boys For Life opening $62.5 million domestically and has now earned $215 million globally. That has led to Sony Pictures announcing that Bad Boys 4 is moving forward with screenwriter Chris Bremner in talks to write the script.

It’s unknown if Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah will be back for Bad Boys 4 or will move to other things instead.

There are a couple of action-focused projects that might be a good fit with their Moon Knight series potentially shooting later this year and Marvel is also rebooting the Blade franchise with two-time Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali.

What Marvel projects do you think they should tackle?
