‘Bad Boys 3’ Will See The Return of Joe Pantoliano’s Captain Howard

Another returning cast member from the Bad Boys movies has been confirmed for Sony’s Bad Boys For Life aka Bad Boys 3 ahead of its shoot next month.

Deadline reports that Joe Pantoliano will reprise the role of Miami PD’s Captain Howard alongside Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. Joe is a veteran character actor with plenty of iconic roles in projects such as The Goonies, The Matrix, and The Sopranos.

Filming will be taking place in Atlanta and Miami. HN Entertainment previously reported that filming will begin on January 14th with a wrap date set for around April 12th.

There is an expectation that casting will heat up this month and we’ll be learning a bulk of the cast very soon.

Rumored plot details from ThatHashtagShow suggested that the two will have been separated for years with Marcus (Lawrence) now a private detective and Mike (Smith) working with a new/young partner. The two are forced to reunite as a shadowy figure places a contract on their heads.

Moroccan/Belgian directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are taking over from Michael Bay. Their upcoming release Gangsta should ease fans worried that the duo won’t be able to fill Bay’s shoes visually.

Sony Pictures has set the film’s release date for January 17th, 2020.
