We have a brief crew update concerning Kenneth Branagh’s next installment in the Poirot saga at 20th Century Fox.
Death On The Nile is seemingly gathering steam behind the scene as I was previously able to confirm at OmegaUnderground that Artemis Fowl costume designer Sammy Sheldon Differ would be reuniting with Kenneth on the film.
Another interesting production team member has been acquired that being art director Mike Stallion. He previously worked on a multitude of Marvel Studios films including Doctor Strange, Thor: The Dark World, Guardians of The Galaxy, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers 4.
Mike was most recently working on Disney features Artemis Fowl and Star Wars: Episode IX.
On a luxurious cruise on the Nile River, a wealthy heiress, Linnet Ridgeway, is murdered. Fortunately, among the passengers are famed Belgian detective Hercule Poirot and his trusted companion, Colonel Race, who immediately begin their investigation. But just as Poirot identifies a motley collection of would-be murderers, several of the suspects also meet their demise, which only deepens the mystery of the killer’s identity.
Filming will commence sometime next year at Longcross Studios in Surrey, England where Murder On The Orient Express was shot.
It has been reported by trades that Gal Gadot and Armie Hammer are expected to take roles in the film, Gadot is said to be playing murder victim/heiress Linnet Ridgeway.
20th Century Fox recently pushed Death On The Nile’s release date to October 22nd, 2020 to avoid going head-to-head with Star Wars: Episode IX next December.
