Endgame’s Running Time Might Be A 3 Hour Monster

A while back director Joe Russo revealed that an edit of Avengers: Endgame was around three hours long and it looks like the final edit might be in that area too. This was reiterated while speaking with Empire suggesting the film could indeed clock in at around three hours.

“There’s a high probability that this movie will clock in around three hours. It’s a big movie with a lot of story.”

AMC Theatres (spotted by places like MCUCosmic) just recently listed the running time to be 182 minutes (3 hours and 2 minutes), but the chain has seemingly removed that runtime from their website, either because Disney asked them to or possibly because it was incorrect.

The film seemed to be sort of locked-in as they recently revealed that composer Alan Silvestri had completed the score to the film, suggesting they had a cut ready for him to score for and that the film’s running time was coming soon as it’s about a month away from being released. There is an expectation that Disney/Marvel employees will soon get an early sneak peek and having a completed version for them makes a lot of sense.

Ticket seller Fandango also chimed-in with this tweet concerning the runtime seemingly backing up other claims.

Having the end of the Infinity Saga end up coming in around three hours isn’t terribly shocking given how much of the franchise is expected to be concluded in the film.

However, this doesn’t seem to be completely confirmed just yet.

Avengers: Endgame will be released on April 26th.

The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”
