Avengers: Infinity War was a huge landmark in superhero filmmaking and it looks like Avengers: Endgame will be just as massive. While the recent trailer didn’t reveal much outside of the title, where Tony Stark is at and that Scott Lang aka Ant-Man has indeed escaped the Quantum Realm after the snap. It has still made a rather large impact.
Despite the limited amount of plot details in the trailer that hasn’t stopped repeat viewings as Marvel has announced that it has earned over 289 million views in only 24 hours. This makes Avengers: Endgame the most viewed trailer in history. Marvel made the announcement on their Marvel Entertainment account on Twitter.
In the trailer we see Tony and Nebula floating adrift in outer space on board The Benatar after their fight with Thanos on the destroyed planet of Titan. The ship is seemingly broken and they’re running out of supplies leading Tony to record a sombre message to Pepper Potts.
Thanos, after accomplishing his life’s work of ending half the life in the universe is now tending to his crops.
On Earth, we see Steve, Natasha, Bruce, Scott, Clint, and Thor picking up the pieces as they regroup for a new mission. Although, we don’t see what Rocket Raccoon, Rhodey aka War Machine, M’Baku and Okoye are up to. There is also zero sign if they’ll be able to reverse what Thanos has done and resurrect half the universe.
Marvel Studios has bumped up the release date to April 26th, 2019.
