Avengers: Endgame is looking at another solid box office take this weekend as it nabbed records for biggest domestic, international, and global debut last weekend.
Endgame is looking like it’ll hit yet another box office record in its second weekend at the global box office.
Deadline is now stating that the film is looking at crossing $2 billion at the global box office this Saturday or Sunday, which would mean it will end up holding a new box office record becoming the fastest to reach $2 billion.
The $2B threshold is in clear sight through Saturday. When Endgame crushes that milestone, it will become only the 5th film ever to do so.
Avengers: Endgame would have accomplished this after 10+ days of release.
BoxOfficePro is also estimating that the movie may end up earning $150 million ($145-155 million range) during its second weekend at the domestic box office, a little less than some who expected it could make $175 million. If the $150 million estimate becomes true this would suggest a drop of around 58% from last weekend.
Adrift in space with no food or water, Tony Stark sends a message to Pepper Potts as his oxygen supply starts to dwindle. Meanwhile, the remaining Avengers — Thor, Black Widow, Captain America and Bruce Banner — must figure out a way to bring back their vanquished allies for an epic showdown with Thanos — the evil demigod who decimated the planet and the universe.
