This week it was revealed by TheWallStreetJournal that Doug Liman’s Chaos Walking starring Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Far From Home) and Daisey Ridley (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker) is getting reshoots after Lionsgate reportedly believed the film would be “unreleasable” in its current state.
It is set in a dystopian world where all living creatures can hear each other’s thoughts. The book is centered on the only boy in a town of men, who discovers something awful hidden from him and is forced to flee with only his dog. With the townspeople in pursuit, the duo then stumbles upon a strange and silent girl and set off on a white-knuckle journey in which the boy must unlearn everything he knows to figure out who he truly is.
HN Entertainment has learned that Avengers: Endgame stunt coordinator Monique Ganderton will be working on the reshoots and adding her action flare to the production. Her other impressive stunt credits include Captain Marvel, Avengers: Infinity War (was the on-set version Proxima Midnight), Thor: Ragnarok, and Atomic Blonde.
The rest of the cast includes Mads Mikkelsen (Casino Royale, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), David Oyelowo (Selma), Demian Bichir (The Hateful Eight), Cynthia Erivo (Bad Times At The El Royale, Widows), Nick Jonas (Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle), and Kurt Sutter (Sons of Anarchy).
Chaos Walking is expected to be bumped to an undisclosed release date in 2020.
