Yet another impressive casting addition to the female-led action film Gunpowder Milkshake has been revealed by TheHollywoodReporter as actress Michelle Yeoh had nabbed a part in the film alongside Karen Gillan, Lena Headey (HN first reported her involvement), Angela Bassett, and Paul Giamatti.
Star Trek: Discovery star Michelle Yeoh has joined the high-caliber cast of Gunpowder Milkshake, an action thriller from Studiocanal and The Picture Company.
Yeoh’s various credits include Police Story 2 aka Supercop, Sunshine, Crazy Rich Asians, Tomorrow Never Dies, Star Trek: Discovery, Marco Polo, and most recently joined James Cameron’s Avatar sequels.
Interesting enough, Michelle Yeoh had a small cameo as Aleta Ogord in Karen Gillan’s Marvel Studios film Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.2.
HN Entertainment first reported that filming begins on June 3rd at Studio Babelsberg in Berlin, Germany, and is expected to wrap on August 8th.

A young woman and her estranged mother that are both assassins must join forces on the run to take down a male-dominated crime syndicate they used to work for.
An assassin named Eva (Gillan) defies Nathan, her boss at The Firm, to rescue a young hostage named Emily from the Korean Mob. Scarlet (Headey), a fellow assassin and the mother of Eva, who had to give up her young daughter when she herself got into trouble. Helps her daughter and young cohort avoid capture or death.
Gunpowder Milkshake will be directed by Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado, the Israeli directing duo behind the foreign language revenge thriller Big Bad Wolves.
