Marvel Studios has now hired a screenwriter for Ant-Man 3 according to TheHollywoodReporter, as Rick & Morty writer Jeff Loveness has been hired to pen the script.
This makes three writers from the popular Adult Swim series to take key writing roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Michael Waldrom working on the Loki series and Jessica Gao tackling She-Hulk for Marvel. Loveness working on the highly sexualized dragon episode of Season 4.
Production on Ant-Man 3 was expected to begin next January (according to actor Michael Douglas) in England and San Francisco, California. However, it remains to be seen if they’ll be able to begin that soon.
Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lily, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer Michael Pena, and Emma Fuhrmann are expected to return for the third installment along with director Peyton Reed.
While Captain Marvel 2 landed a release date for July 8th, 2022, Ant-Man 3 wasn’t lucky enough to get a date today.
There had been some early rumors that the Young Avengers would be in the film, however, it sounds like the script is only just recently being put together and those details might have been slightly premature.
