There has been endless speculation, who Sonny Burch’s employer was in Ant-Man & The Wasp. One of the prevailing fan-theories was that Spider-Man villain Norman Osborn and another has been M.O.D.O.K., neither of them have been confirmed.
It looks like there is a slim chance might see Burch again.
However, director Peyton Reed has taken to Twitter to give fans some hope that Walton Goggins’ Sonny might make a return to the MCU, leaving the door open for that to happen.

When and where we could see Sonny Burch’s return remains to be seen, but Ant-Man 3 would be a good bet to make as they had him arrested at the end of Ant-Man & The Wasp allowing him to make a return in a sequel.
Sonny seems a little too small-time for something like Thunderbolts.
Ant-Man 3 was originally going to begin shooting next January (according to Michael Douglas) in the United Kingdom. However, with production delays on multiple films and television projects at Marvel Studios, there is a possibility that the third Ant-Man movie could see it’s production start pushed to late 2021 or even into 2022.
Marvel has yet to give the film an official release date.
