America Chavez Rumored To Appear In ‘Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness’ – Are The Ultimates Coming?

It looks like we’ll be getting a new Marvel hero in the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel.

A new rumor from TheIllumnerdi (formerly ThatHashtagShow) claims that America Chavez aka Miss America could be showing up in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness, speculating from recent casting information.

New details have emerged from casting notes acquired by The Illuminerdi suggesting that America Chavez might soon be making her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in a surprising place: Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.

This seems to be only a rumor for the moment as they’re making an assumption given they’re casting a young female Lantix actress in a lead supporting role.

While there are plenty of hints towards other exciting specific characters that could appear (and that The Illuminerdi will cover in due time), the most surprising is the casting call for a teenage Hispanic female who will be a supporting lead in the film.

However, her power-set might also make her an excellent candidate to join a Multiverse film.

Later in life, America was able to master the powers she received due to her proximity to ambient magical forces growing up. This includes flight, superhuman strength and speed, near invulnerability, and most notable of all the ability to create star portals. Using her incredible strength, America can actually break open star-shaped portals that allow her and others to travel across space, time, and even the entire multiverse.

Interesting enough, HN Entertainment reported last year that Marvel Studios wants to bring The Ultimates into the MCU and America Chavez being a member (along with Black Panther, Captain Marvel, WandaVision’s Monica Rambeau, and Blue Marvel) of that superhero team helps inch that plan one step closer.

HN Entertainment has learned that Marvel Studios is considering developing potential film/television projects focused on alternative timelines (Multiverse?) and even the superhero team The Ultimates.

If America Chavez is truly coming than it means we only need to see Blue Marvel joining the MCU before we have The Ultimates lineup. He could easily show up in either Black Panther 2 or the newly announced Captain Marvel 2.

Co-writer and director Scott Derrickson recently exited over creative differences, Marvel still hasn’t announced his replacement despite talk that production is moving ahead starting in May at Pinewood Studios UK.

There is also a chance that we might be seeing the return of Baron Mordo as a possible villain.

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness is set for release on May 7th, 2021.
