Amblin Sci-Fi Series ‘Brave New World’ Moves To Peacock – Shooting At Pinewood Studio Wales

Yesterday, there was a big announcement about NCBUniversal’s new streaming service titled Peacock and it was revealed in the lineup that the Amblin science fiction series Brave New World (based on the classic novel by Aldous Huxley) would be moving from USA Network to Peacock.

The show’s main cast includes Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story), Demi Moore, Jessica Brown Findlay (Downton Abbey), Hannah John-Kamen (Ant-Man and The Wasp), and Harry Lloyd (Game of Thrones).

HN Entertainment has learned that filming on the science fiction series is taking place at Pinewood Studios Wales in Cardiff, Wales.

A location that has been previously used for BBC shows such as Doctor Who and Sherlock.

Filming was also expected to take place in England, which we believe that leg of the shoot was at Shepperton Studios in Surrey. Moving between multiple stages at Pinewood Group facilities isn’t terribly uncommon considering their proximity to each other.

Production kicked-off in late June.

As citizens of New London, Bernard Marx (Harry Lloyd) and Lenina Crowne (Jessica Brown Findlay) have only ever known a rigid social order, a perfect pharmaceutical called Soma, and a culture of instant gratification and ubiquitous sex. Curious to explore life beyond the strictures of their society, the two New Worlders embark on a vacation to the Savage Lands, where they become embroiled in a harrowing and violent rebellion. Bernard and Lenina are rescued by John the Savage (Ehrenreich), who escapes with them back to New London.

It was also announced that Peacock would be getting a series reboot of Battlestar Galactica from Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail.

Peacock will be airing two very interesting science fiction projects it seems.

The streaming service will launch sometime in April 2020.
