Marvel Studios and Disney have dropped the final trailer for the solo flick which focuses a bit more on Taskmaster and revealing that he runs the Red Room aka The Black Widow Program.
It also seems that they’ll be sticking with the May 1st release date despite increasing cases of coronavirus in the United States, which may or may not have an impact in the coming weeks on the movie business.
Anyways, check out the fantastically cut trailer which is the best of the bunch so far as we finally see the other Widows in action and some new scenes with Taskmaster (likely played by O-T Fagbenle).
Taskmaster controlling the Red Room leaves us questioning if he’ll indeed have a connection to Thunderbolt Ross (who appears again) in the film or The Thunderbolts (rumored to be introduced in The Falcon & The Winter Soldier).
Rachel Weisz’s Melina is also referred to as Natasha’s mother in a scene.
In Marvel Studios’ action-packed spy thriller “Black Widow,” Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.
Scarlett Johansson reprises her role as Natasha/Black Widow, Florence Pugh stars as Yelena, David Harbour portrays Alexei/The Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz is Melina.
Directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige, “Black Widow”—the first film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe—hits U.S. theaters on May 1, 2020.
They also released a brand new poster which you can see below.
